Ventura County Landmark, est.1946, and in its current location since
1952. El
Tecolote features a hand-painted Mexican tile floor, waterfall,
pinatas, open
beam ceilings, owls everywhere (tecolotes), ivy covered tile roof, and
hand-painted
murals. The restaurant is noisy, high energy, family oriented. El
Tecolote
is famous for its truly outstanding homemade fresh food. Available is a
full cocktail bar, specializing in eight great flavor margaritas.
Service is warm, friendly and attentive. Prices are quite moderate, and
the
restaurant has children's and a la carte menus. The menu
offers a very large selection, and is bound to include your favorites. Open Daily at 11:00 am LOCATION: 333 N. Lewis Rd. Camarillo. Approximately 3 blocks north of the Ventura Freeway (HWY. 101), on the West side of the road. From the northbound 101, take the Lewis Rd./HWY 34/Somis exit, turn right on Daily Drive to Lewis, turn left, go 3 blocks.
